When it comes to classic American muscle cars, the Chevy Camaro is on top of many lists. Chevrolet introduced the Camaro in the early 1960’s to compete with the well-respected Ford Mustang. Subaru Rally Team USA announced today that reigning four-time Rally America National Champion Travis Pastrana and BMX Freestyle legend Dave Mirra will both return as factory team drivers. Subaru Rally Team USA will contest the entire 2010 Rally America National Championship, ESPN’s X Games 16 Rally Car Racing event as well as participate in Rally America’s new and highly anticipated European-style rally cross exhibition events.  Pastrana and Mirra will each pilot a 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI rally car prepared by Subaru technical partner Vermont SportsCar.

The reader poll ‘Die besten Autos - BEST CARS 2008’ asked respondents to also name their favorite automobile tuners. BRABUS received 50.6 percent of the votes, besting the second place finisher by some 10 percent. Almost 100,000 readers participated in this poll that allowed multiple responses.

Larry Brunkala’s black and bad to the bone’32 Ford 5-window coupe was chosen as the Goodguys/DuPont Hot Hues Hot Rod of the Year at the 19th edition of the Goodguys Hot Rod Nationals, held June 8-10 at O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis. The Goodguys Hot Rod of the Year award is chosen annually at the Hot Rod Nationals in Indy and requires competitors to drive a pre-plotted 130-mile trek through suburban Indianapolis as well as an 1/8th mile drag strip trial and a lap around Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This year’s winner did it all in fine style while looking and sounding the best going down the road.

Brunkala, a 36 year old construction foreman and self-described car nut from Mentor, Ohio, was saving his summer vacation for the Goodguys 10th PPG Nationals this July in Columbus, Ohio but a friend talked him into coming to Indy at the last minute. Wise choice on his part!

With an estimated 3000hp on tap, Mike is aiming for mid 6 second times, and that’s on a 10.5 tire!

Small-block Chevy owners have a new high-performance choice to boost fuel delivery with Professional Products’ POWERFLOW™ Piston Style Fuel Pump.
